PL x SU Recipe Swatch Book

This week I have combined the challenges from The Paper Players & CASE-ing the Catty to create a little swatch book for our DS:-

I have used the sketch from the Paper Players to create the cover:-

& the challenge from CASE-ing the Catty to use the Memory Keeping section (pages 24-41) of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue to create a recipe swatch book.  I was inspired by the Camping Recipe book at the top of page 31.  I even used a Project Life die to create each page.  :)

Here are a couple of the pages:-

I tried to keep it masculine & resisted the urge to add a heart on the front as the "any shape".  ;)  Instead I used the digital cutlery image from the MDS "Now You're Cooking" Stamp Brush Set.  I split the cutlery into three separate images, so I could recolour each piece.  Once printed, I coloured over the images with a Versamark pen & clear heat embossed them to give them a sheen.

I kept the "banner" theme happening by adding the recipe name to each card, using the rotary stamp, which I find is easier to colour with markers.  The cards are decorated with images from the PL Point & Click stamp set.

Lovin' those Little Letter Framelits!

This week I've combined Challenge #205 from Sandy at The Paper Players with Challenge #1 from Bronwyn at CASE-ing the Catty to create this card:-

The challenge from Sandy is to create a CAS monochromatic project.  I went with my favourite aqua/teal tonings of Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay & Island Indigo &, as you can see, the layout is very CAS, letting those cute little letter dies take centre stage.  Oh, & I did add one simple little candy dot!  :)

The concept of Bron's new challenge is awesome - using the Stampin' Up! catty as a resource to CASE or inspire your design.  This week's challenge the Team are using the Gift & Packaging section (pages 6-23 in the AC).  I used the cute little bag at the bottom right hand side of page 10 as my inspiration for the super clean layout, as well as adding different coloured cardstocks behind the negative images of the letter dies.

Thank you to both Teams for the inspiration!

Target Easel Card with Circle Framelits

The challenge at Just Add Ink this week was a circular sketch shown on a square base with horizontal lines & a vertical line across the circle.  Although I couldn't incorporate the vertical line & didn't enter the challenge, the sketch totally inspired this card:-

Here's the sketch (click on the image to take you to the challenge):-

I made the card for my sister, who has field archery as one of her many hobbies.  Here is a shot of the card closed:-

The concentric rings were created with SU's circle framelit dies, I lengthened the arrow from the label flip card die & the sentiment die is from the itty bitty banners set.  The sentiment is from Just Sayin'.  A black candy dot supports the easel when it is open.

Thanks to the lovely ladies at Just Add Ink for the inspiration!  :)
