Nance has created this awesome layout, (which I have rotated anti-clockwise 90 degrees):-
Regular visitors will know that I love to play around with my crafting tools & create different items with them. For this camellia I have used the small snowflake from the Snow Flurry Bigz die to create the flower stamens (4 layers) & the small, round ornament from the Ornament Framelits die set to create the petals. I folded a piece of white cardstock & placed the fold near the top of the ornament die, to cut a joined pair of petals, like this (I think I had 10 pairs.):-
I sponged ink around the edges of the petals before I misted them with alcohol to scrunch them. This made the ink bleed softly into the petals & create a lovely natural look.
Here is a close-up of the bloom:-

Wow, you are so clever to think of repurposing those dies. I am always looking for new ideas for making flowers and I absolutely love your gorgeous creation. Thanks for sharing!
Totally stunning Helen - that flower looks so real! Very, very clever!
I'd been thinking that the ornaments & snow flurry would make lovely flowers, but mine would never have turned out as pretty as yours Helen. So lifelike & gorgeous. Thanks for sharing how you made it. Hugs. Di
A flower made with those dies, huh? Your brain has been working overtime, my friend! The camellia is stunning; can't believe you made it from ornament and snowflake die cuts! The bleeding of the ink looks lovely on the petals. Lovely card all round :)
This is gorgeous Helen!!! Love the camellia and your brilliant use of dies. So glad you shared this beauty with us!
LOL Helen...even with a very tired brain you come up with genius ideas :) Your camelia is stunning...and who would have thought it came from an ornament die!! Love how the ink has bled into the petals, it's so realistic...another clever touch.
Hugs xx
